About
Americans are frustrated with their government. Too often, the people making decisions feel far removed from the people living with the consequences of those decisions.
The Average American is built around a simple idea: one way to reconnect government with the people it represents is to put more of those people in the room.
There are intelligent, capable, principled Americans in communities across the country who could make excellent public servants—but most will never run for office. They have careers, families and responsibilities, with little experience navigating campaigns, fundraising or the political system.
The Average American aims to create another path.
It starts here—with ideas, research and conversations about government and the people who serve in it. Over time, the goal is to build a nationwide network that uses the reach of social media to identify, introduce and elevate capable Americans who might otherwise never consider putting their names on a ballot.
This isn't about building another political party or telling Americans what they should believe.
It's about creating another way into the room.
Ordinary Americans should understand government, participate in it, and have a path to serve.
